Our first connectivity with Indonesia was started in Bali with a bamboo sustainability project and grew with the ongoing development plan in Bandung for an Urban Data Lab for a more effective investment project opportunity pipeline between Hong Kong and Indonesia…In 2023, as Hong Kong reopens for global business travelers, we aim to deliver closer connectivity in investment partnership between Hong Kong and Indonesia and encourage more talents and digital economy investment opportunities.” stressed by Mr. Andre Kwok, the Founder of the Good City Foundation.
In the year of 2023, Good City Foundation will host an event in Hong Kong with the World Economic Forum, who organizes the Winter Davos in Switzerland, to discuss the future of real estate, finance, circular economy and liveable cities. The Foundation will also host a smart city investment summit in Indonesia, as the roadmap to the 8th Annual Meet of the Future City Summit and the Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong. These connected activities are expected to unlock new opportunities in many sectors through Hong Kong, connecting to the neighboring regions in East and Southeast Asia, that are not yet well known to common investors.
“Creative Economy and Innovation Committee of West Java or known as KREASI Jabar are made by West Java Government in 2020 as an initiative to develop creative industries in West Java as one of the biggest province in Indonesia. KREASI Jabar are focusing to connect all the stakeholders available for the growth of creative industries in West Java and create programs for creative actors to increase their capacity in order for fulfilling the market demands. Since 2021 we connected with Good City Foundation to fulfill those goals, through conferences, workshops, and trying to improve the local government policy making methods with a well structured online course which by some of the participants are applied in their cities. In 2022, we successfully made Connecti:city an international conference on creative economy to become an official side event of U20 of G20 and produce 7 recommendation to put creative economy on the leaders note of G20. With that in mind, West Java are optimist further collaboration can create greater impact for creative industries in Indonesia and Hong Kong.” said by Mr. Harry Mawardi, West Java Creative and Innovation Committee of Indonesian Government.
