HONG KONG & INDONESIA: Good City Foundation is Launching Business Office in Bandung as Smart City Tech Space with Venture Building Incubation
MAY 2023 — Upon 7 years of delivering services at leadership impact through development programs such as the “Public Private Partnership by Youth” and Smart City Working Groups, annual curations of “Future City Summit” and public policy research projects, the regional development organisation Good City Foundation is stepping up the game of smart city leadership fostering and technology incubation with larger resources commitment.
On 31st March 2023, the Good City Foundation and the Indonesia Creative Cities Network (ICCN) have formally entered the business agreement to lease the Grade-A heritage building, SIMPUL Space, in Braga Area of Bandung City (Kota Bandung) in Indonesia — where the first floor, as managed by the ICCN, would remain as the community space for the members and friends of ICCN and Bandung Creative City Forum (BCCF), and partially leased to the well-known cafe brand — Filosofi Kopi, the second floor would be managed by the Good City Foundation as a shared community space for selective smart city tech companies (under venture studio program), corporate sponsors and associate members / partners.
The second floor would also serve as an affiliated meeting hub for the informal curation of West Java Investment Promotion Working Group with the West Java Provincial Government, where the group is dedicated to link and connect promising smart city investment projects between Hong Kong and Indonesia. More details of the venture studio programs, corporate sponsorship projects and member affiliation schemes would be announced.

The launching of the business office of Good City Foundation was first initiated in the development program PPP by Youth in Banding in January 2020 where the project was discussed with the Vice Mayor (Acting Mayor) — Mr. Yana Mulyana and the former Head of Bandung Cultre and Tourism Office — Ms. Kenny Dewi K.

Since 2023, with the support of global family office in Hong Kong, Tsangs Group, the Good City Foundation reinforced the decision to strengthen resource commitment and development of relations and business opportunities in Indonesia with the strategic values of fostering the investment and business relations for further smart city project developments through Indonesia, as a common hub for Islamic communities and ethnic Chinese descendants.
